Fintech Now and in the Future
Speaker: Dr. Patrick Njoroge, Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya (Yale Economics PhD '93)

As part of EGC’s 60th anniversary celebration and 65 years of the International Development and Economics (IDE) Masters program at Yale, we invite you to join an interactive conversation with two of the Yale Department of Economics’ esteemed alumni: Kenya Central Bank Governor Patrick Njoroge and MIT Professor of Applied Economics Tavneet Suri.

Governor Njoroge and Professor Suri have worked at the intersection of financial inclusion and technology in Kenya for many years.  Their paths have overlapped at various points and they have both drawn on their economics training at Yale throughout their careers.  In this interactive conversation, they will discuss the present and future roles of Central Banks.

This event will launch a multi-day forum for students, affiliates, and alumni of IDE and EGC to hear from an array of IDE alumni who are now faculty at top tier research universities themselves.

Registration is required in advance.
