The Yale Journal of Economics, whose second issue comes out Wednesday. This journal is published by Yale College students and contains only research papers written by undergraduates (at Yale and at other institutions). As the editors’ note to the first issue states: “…undergraduates are just beginning to develop their research skills. But undergraduates have a certain freshness and daring that can yield thought-provoking conclusions and also motivate further research.”
To celebrate the publication of the Fall 2003 issue, this Wednesday the Journal has asked Ben Polak to speak on “An Economic View from the Provost’s Office.” The talk will take place in LC 101 at 5 p.m. and will be followed by a Q&A session. Joe Altonji will preside.
Free copies of the journal will be available at the event!
