Fellows for the 2021-2022 academic year

Are you interested in U.S foreign policy and national security? Would you like to get first-hand, practical experience writing policy proposals and policy analyses papers? Then come and join the Sycamore Institute at Yale.

The Sycamore Institute is now accepting new Fellows for the 2021-2022 academic year. The Sycamore Institute is an undergraduate 501(c)(3)-registered think tank focused on issues regarding U.S. and International security with branches at Yale, American University, and New York University. The Sycamore Institute’s mission is to provide undergraduate students the opportunity to explore the field of security studies and foreign policy while providing a space where students can engage in meaningful research and gain practical analysis skills. Our work is sectioned by four divisions: Security and Defense, Economics and Trade, Energy Security and the Environment, and Global Health. These divisions allow the think tank to take a full spectrum approach towards analyzing current policies, events, and finding solutions to the challenges faced by the security community.

Besides the opportunity to hone your research and analysis skills, we will be having rewarding opportunities to network with career national security and foreign policy executives and engage in fun group activities as well!

If you are interested in joining the Sycamore Institute this semester, please fill out this short application form and we will be in touch. We will be having an information meeting on Tuesday at 8 pm EST on Zoom (meeting ID: 985 4724 2816).
