RESEARCH ASSISTANT FOR OWEN ZIDAR AND ERIC ZWICK
Princeton Professor Owen Zidar and University of Chicago Professor Eric Zwick are looking for two highly skilled and motivated individuals to work as full-time research assistants for a period of two years. Our preferred start date is June 1, 2020 although we are willing to accommodate an earlier or later start. We will consider applications on a rolling basis and the application deadline for the fall round of applications is October 28, 2019.
The job will entail close collaboration on a number of new and ongoing empirical projects in applied microeconomics and public policy. The five most recent holders of this position have gone on to top Ph.D. programs: Harvard, UC Berkeley (x2), and University of Chicago (x2).

The ideal candidate will have (i) a strong quantitative background, (ii) strong computer skills including programming, (iii) the ability to work independently to solve problems, and (iv) a long-term interest in pursuing research in economics. Background in economics is a plus, but not necessary—we welcome candidates with strong technical backgrounds who are looking for more exposure to economics. We pay an annual salary of $48,000 and provide standard benefits such as health insurance.
