New Measures for Gender Norms

We have collected some data in Uganda on gender norms, both using standard questionnaires and managing focus groups discussions. We now would like to start analyzing these data. The data from the questionnaire have been organized in STATA data sets and we plan to analyze them to produce a careful description of the evidence they can provide. In particular we plan to use factor models to extract 'gender norms' and then relate the resulting measures to observed demographic variables. Good knowledge of Stata will be necessary for this.
