Multinationals and Location Choice

This project seeks to collect data on location choices and sales of multinational firms. We will use orbis data and other datasets to construct various outcomes for multinationals across the globe and consider their location decisions as a function of their outcomes in the origin country. Data for domestic plants of multinationals will be used. We plan to analyze their location choice with the new computational tools developed in the paper “Combinatorial Discrete Choice” joint with Fabian Eckert and Rowan Shi.
