Navigating Startup Failure

Three out of four startups fail (Ljungqvist and Richardson (2003)). When this occurs, the employees and founders of the failed startup face various options, including dropping out of the labor force, working for another startup, taking a job at a public company, or starting their own companies. We examine how these outcomes following failure of a startup vary by gender and rank within the startup. One goal of this project is to help us understand female representation in high-growth startups.

Requisite Skills and Qualifications
Webscraping and programming experience using Python or equivalent language is required. The RA will use webscraping to track startup failures. The RA will also help audit and clean multiple datasets documenting startup closure events.
