Networks and Female Representation in the Academic Finance Profession

How important are professional networks in explaining career outcomes in the academic finance profession? Does network structure matter (sparse versus dense)? The project expands on previous work examining female representation in the academic finance profession. The RA will assemble a database of professional network information, that the RA will collect from publicly available academic papers, dissertations, published articles and conference programs. The RA will conduct basic statistical analysis and will design figures and tables to help understand how professional networks are formed and how they relate to career outcomes.
