Voting Rights of Native Americans

Although the federal government granted all Native Americans citizenship in 1924, for the next 50 years states employed a myriad of laws to strip Native Americans of their rights to enfranchisement. The project investigates the impact of these laws on Native turnout and the distribution of government resources. The RA(s) will seek out law details and dates and perform analysis using STATA.

Requisite Skills and Qualifications:

The successful student will be extremely organized, adept at searching out facts and a strong STATA programmer.
