Why So Few Minorities in Economics?

Fewer than 1% of PhD economists identify as Black, Latino or Native American. First, we will use NSF data too look quantitatively at the history of minorities in economics. Then we will review the literature to identify best practices in terms of attracting minority undergraduate and graduate students to the field in order to enhance and update this website (http://diversifyingecon.org/index.php/Main_Page).
