  • Fall-term online course selection ends.  Final day for registration.  A $50 fee assessed for course schedules accepted after this date.
  • Final day to apply for a fall term personal leave of absence. 
  • The entire fall-term tuition charge of CRF will be cancelled for students who withdraw from the Graduate School on or before this date or who are granted a leave of absence effective on or before this date.
Sep. 23, Fri. One-half of the fall term full-tuition charge will be canceled for students who withdraw from the Graduate School on or before this date or who are granted a medical leave of absence effective on or before this date.
The CRF is not pro-rated
Oct. 1, Sat. Final date for faculty to submit grades to replace temporary incompletes (TIs) awarded during the previous academic year

Due date for dissertations to be considered by the Degree Committee for award of the Ph.D. in December.

October recess begins, 11:00 pm.  Classes resume Oct. 24.

  • Midterm.
  • Final day to change enrollment in a fall term class from Credit to Audit or from Audit to Credit.  Final day to withdraw from a fall term course.
  • One-quarter of the fall-term full tuition charge will be canceled for students who withdraw from the Graduate School on or before this date or who are granted a medical leave of absence effective on or before this date. The CRF is not prorated.
Oct. 31, Mon. Readers Reports are due for dissertations to be considered for Degree Commitee for awarding of the Ph.D. in December.
Nov. 9, Wed. Final day to withdraw a degree petition for degrees to be awarded in December.
Nov. 11, Fri.
  • Oral Proficiency Assessment for international students in degree programs
  • Departmental recommendations are due for candidates for December degrees.
Nov. 16, Wed. Registration for Spring 2023 opens, 8:00 a.m.
Nov. 18, Fri. November Recess begins 5:30 pm
Nov. 28, Mon. Classes resume, 8:20 am
Nov. 30, Wed. Final day to submit petitions for extended registration and dissertation completion status for the spring term
Dec. 14, Wed. Registration for Spring 2023 closes, 5:30 p.m.

  • Fall term classes end, 5:30 pm.
  • Graduate Course Exams through Dec. 21st.
Dec. 21, Wed. Fall Term ends, Winter Recess begins.

Apr. 17, Mon. Oral Proficiency Assessment for international students in all GSAS degree programs.
Apr. 17, Mon. Deadline for departments to return Degree Recommendation forms for May graduation.  Final day to withdraw a degree petition for degrees to be awarded in May
May 4, Thurs. Classes end, 5:20 pm
May 5-10 Final examination period
