COVID-19 Virus Resources for Research

As Yale University copes with the COVID-19 virus, this page provides resources, links, and frequently asked questions regarding research to help you navigate this sensitive time.

The Research Continuity - Sponsored Award FAQs were recently updated to include NIH's revised late application notice.  The NIH has provided further guidance on late proposal submissions, see NOT-OD-20-091.  Effective immediately, all grant applications submitted late for due dates between March 9, 2020 and May 1, 2020, will be accepted through May 1, 2020.  This notice applies to all relevant funding opportunity announcements, including those that indicate no late applications will be accepted. Institutions need not request advance permission to submit late due to this declared emergency and a cover letter providing a justification is not required.

Please note that all applications must be submitted to OSP for review per standard procedure and must adhere to University and sponsor policy.  It is strongly suggested that proposals arrive at OSP well in advance of the May 1, 2020 deadline to process the anticipated high volume. Additionally, submitting early is strongly advised to avoid electronic submission issues. In these unprecedented times, there is the potential that electronic portals may not be able to handle the extreme volume. Any questions can be directed to OSP proposal managers.
