Yale graduate Christopher Neilson chosen for the Review of Economic Studies May Meetings

Yale graduate Christopher Neilson was selected to be one of seven speakers at the 2014 Review of Economic Studies May Meetings. Each year, the Review selects seven of the most promising graduating doctoral students in economics and finance in the world to present their research to audiences in Europe. This year the Meetings were held at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, INSEAD of France, and the Collegio Carlo Alberto of Italy. Christopher Neilson is an applied microeconomist whose research focuses on the study of education markets. His dissertation examined how government subsidies in education interact with specific features of this market to affect the strategic behavior of schools. His general fields of study include Public Economics, Labor Economics, and Industrial Organization. He is currently a visiting scholar at the Stern School of Business at NYU and will start as an assistant professor at Princeton University in June 2015. Yale has had several students selected to be on the Restud tour in the last few years, including Melanie Morten (2013), Joe Vavra (2012), Alex Torgovitsky (2011), and Kirill Evdokimov (2010).
