August 21st SHARE Webinar: The Individual Mandate

SHARE will host a webinar on August 21st at 12:00 pm ET in which Dr. Amanda Kowalski, Assistant Professor at Yale University, will present findings from a SHARE-funded study evaluating Massachusetts’ individual coverage mandate. Dr. Kowalski’s presentation will focus on an analysis of the extent to which the mandate mitigated adverse selection in the state’s individual insurance market. Dr. Kowalski will be joined by Nancy Turnbull of Harvard University, who will provide a state-level perspective on the topic. Ms. Turnbull is currently a board member on Massachusetts’ insurance exchange and was the Deputy Commissioner of Health Policy at the Massachusetts Division of Insurance when the state adopted its initial reforms to the small group and individual health insurance markets. Register for the webinar.
