Zhen Huo appointed as new Assistant Professor of Economics

Zhen Huo is a macroeconomist whose research focuses on the role of information and financial frictions in shaping aggregate fluctuations. His current work provides a method to solve the rational expectations models with higher order beliefs. He applied this method to measure the importance of belief shocks in accounting for business cycles. Another line of his research explores the link between household financial difficulties and the recent Great Recession.

Zhen will join Yale University as an Assistant Professor of Economics from 2016 onwards. In 2015-2016, he will join New York University as a visiting Assistant Professor. He received his B.A. in Economics at Renmin University of China, and his PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota.
