As the Applications Chairs for the 24th Carroll Round, we are writing to invite all interested students at Yale University to apply to this year’s Carroll Round Undergraduate Economics Research Conference. The Carroll Round is an undergraduate economics conference at Georgetown University, providing a unique forum for the world’s brightest undergraduate economics students to present and discuss their original research in any subdiscipline. At the conference, students will have the opportunity to present their research and receive comments from current professors, economic practitioners, and other participants In addition, all the accepted papers will have the chance to be published in the Carroll Round Proceedings

This year’s conference will be held at Georgetown University from April 10th to April 13th, 2025. Applicants will have the opportunity to interact with each other and hear from high-profile speakers in the world of economics. A full list of our past speakers can be found here.

We are committed to making the conference accessible to those who wish to participate. We encourage all applicants whose research demonstrates econometric rigor and original insight to apply. Funds may be available to cover the cost of transportation to Washington for participants who cannot secure funding from their institution. In the past, the Steering Committee has been able to meet the vast majority of participants’ outstanding financial needs.
