College Basketball Recruitment
In this project, we are using basketball recruiting data to better understand the conditions under which actors accept (or refuse) offers from other actors. Specifically, we are interested in how this likelihood of acceptance differs by the status or prestige held by each party.
Research assistance is sought to clean data that has already been collected for this project and collect additional data under Dr. Botelho’s guidance, along with other tasks that may arise related to this project.
Requisite Skills and Qualifications:
Coursework in statistics/econometrics, attention to detail, ability to work independently and an interest in conducting social science research. Web-scraping skills and would be very beneficial.
