Evictions and the Rental Market
This project consists of two parts. The first studies the impacts of eviction on children’s educational outcomes. The second studies how changing policies affect the broader rental market. The research fellow will have the opportunity to work on an active research project as well as be involved in the early stages of the second project. The student researcher will help build databases, conduct analysis, and summarize results. The work will consist of quantitative research and data analysis as well as qualitative research on the institutional details surrounding changes in eviction policy.
Requisite Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in a statistical/econometric software packages such as R, stata, or python is preferred. Prior experience with Latex and Git, and training in econometrics, statistics, and data science are preferred, though not required.
