Research on housing instability and its long run impacts on inequality

The researcher hired for this project will work on a set of projects related to the long run impacts of housing instability, with a focus the impacts on children. The student researcher will have the opportunity to work closely Professor Humphries and a set of co-authors at other universities, and to be involved in the early stages of a project. The work will be a combination of qualitative and quantitative work. The qualitative work will involve building a database of institutional details for a set of government programs that displaced families. The quantitative work will involve the analysis of neighborhood characteristics and house prices over time and spatial analysis.

Requisite Skills and Qualifications:

The student researcher should have experience working with data, preferably in R or Stata.
