Selection and Unraveling in Automobile Insurance: The Effect of Per-Mile Insurance

This project explores the effect of per-mile insurance offerings on the insurance market in the United States. We are especially interested in the possibility of environmental and congestion benefits from per-mile insurance. We are using data from a per-mile insurance company and collecting data on the entire insurance market in the United States to develop a structural model of the insurance market and model how per-mile insurance could influence the market.
