Yale Model African Union (YMAU)
The YMAU conference is a unique and extraordinary event, organized entirely by Yale undergraduates. As the first-ever Ivy League-hosted Model African Union conference and the first collegiate Model UN Conference hosted by an American university on the African continent, YMAU stands as a testament to our commitment to promoting Pan-African dialogue and addressing the most complex challenges facing Africa today. Our mission is to ensure that every voice is heard, and we encourage our participants to engage in discussions, collaborate, and craft innovative solutions to the most pressing issues of the 21st century in Africa—no matter their socioeconomic or cultural background.
YMAU offers students from the African continent and the diaspora an exceptional opportunity to participate in a fully immersive Model AU experience. Our program includes world-class workshops, inspiring speakers, and the generous support of sponsors like yourself. Over a weekend of intellectually rich and socially engaging activities, YMAU empowers participants to acquire valuable skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. Through these past conferences, we have successfully welcomed over a thousand student delegates and dozens of guest speakers with diverse expertise ranging from medical technology to international diplomacy.
