IDE Student

Ekta Mishra is an incoming Master’s student in International and Development Economics at Yale University. She graduated with an honour's B.A.Sc from McMaster University, where she combined her studies in economics, mathematics, political theory, and cultural studies.

During her undergraduate studies, Ekta was lead author of a study on HIV treatment access among sex workers in Africa. Currently, she is involved in two research projects: one exploring the impact of Baumol's Cost Disease on European healthcare systems, and another analyzing age-period-cohort effects on mortality trends in Canada.

She is interested in further exploring development economics as it intersects with gender, climate, and health.
