Jennifer Agbo
Jennifer Agbo studied Economics (BSc) at the University of Nigeria, where she graduated summa cum laude as the best student in the Department of Economics and the Faculty of the Social Sciences. Growing up in southeastern Nigeria greatly influenced Jennifer’s career and academic interests, which focus on addressing developmental issues through economics and data-driven insights. She seeks to explore the role of data-driven methodologies and economic tools, including carbon pricing and sustainable climate financing, in creating robust environmental policy frameworks and accelerating the shift to a low-carbon African economy
Before coming to Yale, Jennifer worked as a research assistant at the Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University. There, she assisted in investigating economic models, product development for the informal economy, and Randomized Control Trials (RCTs) to execute projects aimed at alleviating social and business issues and proposing impactful solutions for African organizations and households. Jennifer’s research at Yale will inform national clean energy policies, climate finance and investment, and other business decisions to tackle Africa's dynamic environmental challenges.
