Jianwen (Cynthia) Wang

Cynthia Wang graduated from Wake Forest University with B.A. in Economics with High Honors, B.A. in Politics & International Affairs with Honors, and a minor in Statistics. Prior to Yale, Cynthia interned at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Austria, where she engaged in policy analysis and data research concerning crime, homicide, and corruption. She also interned at China Construction Bank in China and served as an editorial assistant for the Politics & Political Science Journal in the United States. 

Her academic interests revolve around corruption, economic policy, governance, and development. With a specialization in econometrics and political methodology, she is proficient in multiple software programs, and she has conducted several quantitative research projects that investigate the detrimental effects of corruption on financial inclusion policies and political stability.
