Lea Wessel-Aas

IDE Student

Lea Wessel-Aas is a Master’s student in the International and Development Economics (IDE) program at Yale University. She completed her B.Sc. in International Politics and Government at Bocconi University and studied as an exchange student at Princeton University. 

Prior to Yale, she gained professional experience in equity research, management consulting, international organizations, and diplomacy, most recently at the Norwegian Delegation to the OECD. 

Her academic interests include energy economics and decision-making under risk and uncertainty, especially in the context of scarce natural resources and the environment. She is also interested in applied econometrics and causal inference, as well as macroeconomics. 

She currently works as a Research Assistant in the Yale Department of Economics on topics in international economics.
