Parsa Mahmud

IDE Student

Parsa is a student of the IDE-MA program. Before coming to Yale, she was working at BRAC, Bangladesh. Previously, she interned at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Washington and Paris. Parsa also briefly assisted a team at Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) in studying the effects of financial incentives, education, gender norms and adolescent empowerment to reduce child marriage in rural Bangladesh. Her research interests lie in policy relevant questions focusing on economic conditions and well-being in developing countries. Parsa received her BA degree in Economics and Public Policy from the University of Toronto in 2022. ​​​​​​She is a recipient of the Bank of Canada Master’s Award for Women in Economics and Finance.
