Prachi Prakash

Prachi Prakash is a Master’s student in the Department of Economics at Yale University. She completed her B.A. (Honors) in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi.

As an undergraduate, Prachi authored and contributed to research across fields ranging from macroeconomics to behavioral economics. She also served as Senior Editor of her department’s flagship academic journal, leading editorial and research review initiatives while working closely with student researchers and faculty contributors.

Professionally, Prachi has worked with the Government of West Bengal as a Campaign Associate, contributing to micro-policy planning, monitoring, and evaluation efforts aimed at strengthening governance and improving public service delivery. She established a pro-bono social initiative during college that brought together students and local stakeholders to address issues of scarcity and access amongst local artisans of India. The initiative has since evolved into an independently operating effort.

Her academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of development economics, quantitative analysis, and public policy. She is particularly interested in designing scalable interventions for emerging economies and applying quantitative methods to improve institutional effectiveness and policy implementation.

Beyond academics and policy, Prachi actively participates in case competitions and interdisciplinary problem-solving forums.
