My current research focuses on child care markets. In my job market paper, I evaluate the trade-offs facing child care subsidy programs between subsidizing more families versus offering larger subsidies per family when providers can change their prices and quality and program budgets are fixed. In ongoing work, I quasi-experimentally determine spillovers of child care subsidy programs on families ineligible for subsidies from changes to prices and quality.
