Biography
Wayne Yuan Gao is a fifth-year PhD student, and he will be joining the Department of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania, as a Lecturer in Fall 2019, and as an Assistant Professor of Economics in Fall 2020. Wayne received his Master’s degree in Economics from Duke University, and his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Hong Kong. Wayne’s research interests are in econometrics and microeconomic theory, with a special focus on social and economic networks. He has worked on research topics such as semi/non-parametric identification and estimation, econometric and micro-theoretical models of network formation, local information in social networks, and panel multinomial choice models.
