Yadi Piao

Hailing from Nanjing, China, Yadi Piao is an M.A. student in the International and Development Economics program. She received her B.A. in Social Sciences from Waseda University, Japan, during which she spent one year as a visiting student at Yale College. Yadi’s research interests include labor economics, economics of education, and development economics. She has developed these interests during her undergraduate years through an eclectic mix of coursework and research assistantships, investigating the casual impact of public policies, especially on disadvantaged communities. She has also interned at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences working on comparative healthcare policy research.
