The Labor Market Returns to Advanced Degrees

Researchers analyze the market value of various graduate degrees by comparing earnings prior to advanced degress with earnings after graduation.

Analyzing data from the National Science Foundation, researchers examine changes in earnings of individuals before and after earnings an advanced degree. Findings suggest wide variation in labor market value of advanced degrees depending on the field of study, and also depending on undergraduate major.
