Trade and Welfare Gains

Proposal Description: The project involves the derivation of Welfare Gains under different scenarios under partial equilibrium and general equilibrium in contexts with spatial connections. The student will be asked to derive mathematical relationships, verify proofs, proof-read various mathematical results.

Requisite Skills and Qualifications: The student needs to be proficient in mathematical economics and have background on the concepts of compensating and equivalent variation and consumer demand theory.
