The communications infrastructure?telephone, broadband, and wireless communications?and the regulation and adoption of these technologies; the basic economics of selected uses of the Internet; the organization of businesses as they are affected by new communications technologies; intellectual property and antitrust issues in the information economy.

Prerequisite: introductory microeconomics.
