Capacity Discipline in the Airline Industry

Proposal Description:
Professor Fiona Scott-Morton and Kevin Williams are looking to hire a research assistant to help create a learning module (a case) on the airline industry. We are looking to provide content on dynamic pricing, network effects, multi-market contact, and recently, allegations of capacity discipline (coordination) among the airlines. The position will involve gathering research materials, processing data, creating tables and figures, and helping write up findings. A second opportunity involving Medicaid is possible depending on progress over the summer. This is a good opportunity for an undergraduate interested in these particular industries as well as students who have an interest in business school.
Requisite Skills and Qualifications: A basic knowledge of Stata
