Black K9-k12 Achievement and Peer Group Effects
The research assistant will assist Professor Jaynes in preparing data primarily drawn from the National Longitudinal Study of Youth to examine the Acting White Hypothesis that ascribes particularly negative peer group effects on student study effort to Black students in predominantly Black urban schools.
Requisite Skills and Qualifications
Courses in microeconomics and statistics/econometrics, and a course in education studies.
