Mapping the Research Frontier in Trade and Development
This project aims to conduct a systematic classification of the empirical research in international trade and development over the past 20 years. Its goal is to produce a database of papers in top general interest and field journals that classifies each paper in its empirical method, modeling approach, type of data used, etc. This database will be one of the main datasets feeding a research paper whose goal is to explain how the research frontier in trade and development has changed over the past twenty years, which questions are most explored, which are least, etc. The database will also be directly used in the production of literature reviews for the PI's various ongoing research projects. The RA working on this task will be responsible for generating its tags, analyzing them, checking them, and writing literature reviews with the PI's guidance.
